Just one driver out of 2134 was found to be over the legal drink-drive limit of 400mcg per litre of breath at a series of checkpoints in central Wellington last night.
A total of 2134 cars were stopped.

Four other people were issued tickets for a reading of between 250 and 400 milligrams.
National manager of road policing Superintendent Steve Greally said the results were pleasing.
"As we head into the holiday period, police really want to see this behaviour continue, and we urge people to continue making safe travel plans before they start drinking," Mr Greally said.
He urged people to make safe travel plans if drinking during the upcoming holiday season.
