Police are appealing for sightings of a Bay of Plenty women who was last seen on the West Coast before Christmas.

Shelly Crooks, 36, was in Punakaiki on 22 December.
She told a friend she was going to hitchhike home to Opotiki but has not been seen since, which her family said was unusual.
Police said Ms Crooks was an experienced tramper and was well equipped to go off the grid for a number of days.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police.
