A diver whose body was found at Sandfly Bay near Dunedin has been named by the police.

He was Michael John Hodges, a 35-year-old Dunedin man.
Police said Mr Hodges was diving with a group last Friday evening, but failed to resurface.
His death has been referred to the coroner as a suspected drowning.
