Power was cut to about 1300 properties in Wellington this morning.
Lines company Wellington Electricity said Brooklyn, Mornington, Vogeltown, Ōwhiro Bay and Rongotai were affected.
It said the cut was caused by a partial feeder fault.
Electricity supplies were out for three hours and restored about 9.30am.
