A man has been arrested over the death of 24-year-old Auckland woman Arishma Chand on Sunday.

Counties Manukau Police confirmed this evening that a 41-year-old man from Flat Bush has been charged with murder.
He is due to appear tomorrow in the Manukau District Court.
Ms Chand was killed shortly after arriving home from a party with her boyfriend about 12.45am on Sunday.
She called her parents because she was frightened that someone was outside, but when her parents arrived just 20 minutes later, they found their daughter dead in a bedroom.
Ms Chand was a childcare worker. Her 3-year-old daughter was in her ex-husband's custody over the weekend and not present during the killing.
