In South Auckland, firefighters battled a scrub fire which broke out just before 9.30pm.

Fire and Emergency said four crews were fighting the flames on Retreat Drive in Mangere just before 9.30pm.

They said they requested more water to be brought in because there wasn't a direct water source at the scene.

There haven't been any reports of injuries.

A factory in South Auckland was also on fire this morning.

One crew is still at the scene of the fire in the Big Tuff timber pallet factory in Wiri.

Fire communications said no one was injured and the fire is now out.

In Tokoroa, three crews were sent to a house fire overnight.

A fire safety officer is investigating the cause of the fire which ripped through the property.

A spokesperson said there were no injuries.
