Massey University has ordered an independent review into the cancelling of a speech by former National Party leader Don Brash in August.

The university vice-chancellor Jan Thomas ordered the speech be cancelled, citing security concerns.
Since then, she and the university have been accused of not protecting freedom of speech.
The former Deputy State Services Commissioner, Doug Martin, will carry out the review.
Massey's Chancellor Michael Ahie said the university had full confidence in Professor Thomas.
But he said it wanted to fully understand the lessons learned, and have clarity over procedures for future events.
The terms of reference for the review say Mr Martin will focus on the performance of the university in arriving at and managing the consequences of the decision.
He is due to report in November, and his findings will be made public.
Prof Thomas said she welcomed the review as it was good practice to continually improve systems and processes.
