Police say State Highway 1 has reopened south of Foxton following a crash on the Manawatū River bridge.

Earlier this afternoon, the road was blocked due to a crash on the bridge over the Manuwatu River which was reported shortly after 3pm.
In a statement, Police said 4 vehicles were involved in the crash.
Minor injuries were treated at the scene by St John Ambulance.
