A 16-year-old has been arrested following an aggravated robbery and attempted ram raid in Glen Innes, Auckland, at the weekend.
Police said four people attempted to gain entry to shop on Mayfair Pl using a vehicle on 7 January, but were unsuccessful.
The group then went to a dairy on Maskell St, where they threatened the owner with weapons before leaving with tobacco, cigarettes and other items.
A 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated robbery, attempted burglary and other offences.
Police said they were following "strong lines of inquiry" to identify the other offenders.
