A man who admitted hiding evidence from a crime scene has been sentenced to 10 months' home detention.
The charges against Kyle Barnden arose from the shooting death of Adam Watkins in the Lower Hutt suburb of Taita in February.
Barnden was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Justice Williams suppressed all details of the sentencing hearing in the High Court in Wellington, as others are still awaiting trial in relation to Mr Watkins' death.
