The scene of a house fire in Auckland last night will be examined today after a man in his sixties collapsed and died in the driveway.
Firefighters were called to a unit in Swanson Road in West Auckland late yesterday afternoon, where the man died at the scene.
Police said it was not known whether he died as a direct result of the fire, whether he suffered from a medical condition or if he had fallen.
There were several people in the property when the fire started and a young boy and a man aged in his twenties were both taken to Waitakere Hospital in a moderate condition.
