A 93-year-old woman has died after being knocked off her mobility scooter by a car in Whakatane.
Police said she was riding her scooter on Saturday when she was hit by a car leaving a driveway at about 12.30pm.
She later died from her injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
