New Pipfruit NZ chair

Pipfruit growers have elected Nelson exporter Nadine Tunley to take over from Ian Palmer as chair of Pipfruit New Zealand.

Mr Palmer served on the group's board for 10 years, with almost eight in the chair, and says it is time for him to go:

"Everything needs to be refreshed at times and for new people to have the opportunity to stamp their mark on things," he said.

Mr Palmer says the highlight of his term was regaining market access to Australia for New Zealand apples.
