The Blues coach Pat Lam has issued a public apology for comments he made at a media session last Wednesday criticising the performance of the SANZAR Citing Commissioner in two Super Rugby games.
Lam highlighted the apparent inconsistency in the three-week ban for punching handed down to his flanker Luke Braid while the Hurricanes hooker Dane Coles was not even cited for a similar incident that Coles later admitted publically.
Lam says he wishes to formally acknowledge it was not appropriate to make the comments and he won't discuss the issue further.
