Tony Iro, the assistant coach of the Kiwis is pleased with the balance of the side that will meet Australia in the one-off Anzac league test this Friday at Auckland's Eden Park.

The last time New Zealand won the annual fixture was in 1998 and Iro, who played in that game, says every player has to perform at 100 percent to beat what is always a formidable Australian side.

Iro says four new rookies Jesse Bromwich, Josh Hoffman, Shaun Johnson and Jason Taumalolo, have impressed with their NRL form.

The test also sees the return of experienced Kiwis in Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Frank Pritchard and Manu Vatuvei and Iro says it's a good mix.
