The Melbourne Vixens are in a confident frame of mind ahead of Sunday's trans-Tasman netball final believing the week off will give them a big advantage over the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.
The Magic booked their place in the Melbourne final after their win over the Northern Mystics on Monday night.
The Melbourne captain Bianca Chatfield says having qualified directly for the final and not playing an extra game along with not having to travel will give her team the edge.
If the Vixens win on Sunday they will become the first team to win the competition twice having won the 2009 title.
No New Zealand side has yet won the title with the Magic playing in their third final.
