Erakovic only New Zealander left at ASB Classic

Marina Erakovic will fly the New Zealand flag at Auckland's ASB tennis classic by herself, after the only other local bidding to compete at the WTA tournament was dumped out in the second round of qualifying.

Wanganui's Emma Hayman lost to the 2011 champion Greta Arn in straight sets, the 33-year-old Hungarian winning 6-3 6-2 on centre court.

Arn, who's currently ranked 115th in the world, is a chance of playing Erakovic in the first round after the Aucklander was drawn to face one of the four qualifiers.
