A fourth quarter onslaught by the New Zealand Breakers has seen them win their first ever Australian National Basketball League home play-off game, 131-101 over the Adelaide 36ers at North Shore Events Centre.

Guard CJ Bruton nailed five straight three-pointers in the final period to bury Adelaide's semi-final hopes and propel the Breakers to their highest score in the league.

They now meet the Tigers from melbourne in the semi-finals.

There's huge relief in international tennis circles following the United Arab Emirates decision to grant the Israeli Andy Ram a visa for next week's Dubai Mens Tennis championship.

Last week Israel's top woman player Shahar Peer was refused entry to Dubai.
