Axed Sydney Roosters coach Brad Fittler has ruled out any future involvement with the club beyond this season.
Fittler was told yesterday his contract with the Roosters would not be renewed when it expires at the end of the 2009 NRL campaign.
Newcastle's Brian Smith is set to take over as coach at the Bondi-based club on a four-year deal.
But despite being one of the club's favourite sons following a glittering playing career with the tri-colours, Fittler ruled out any future involvement with the Roosters.
