Following the defence of their Super Rugby title, the Chiefs have good representation in the list of nominees for the 2013 New Zealand Rugby Awards.
The Chiefs are up for team of the year, while Liam Mesam is nominated for player of the year and Super Rugby player of the year, while Dave Rennie is again nominated for coach of the year along with Steve Hansen and Gordon Tietjens.
The All Blacks, All Black Sevens and Canterbury are the other finalists for team of the year, while Kieren Read and Ben Smith are the other player of the year finalists.
Ben Smith and Sam Whitelock are the others up for Super Rugby player of the year, while Marty Banks, Andy Ellis and Victor Vito are the ITM Cup player of the year finalists.
Last year the All Blacks, Richie McCaw and Steve Hansen took the top honours.
