The Costa Rican midfielder Carlos Hernandez has signed on with the Wellington Phoenix Football Club for another year.
Hernandez joined the Phoenix this season on a one-year deal with an option for a second year, and today took up the option with the signing of a new contract.
He says he's very happy in Wellington and has settled well, with his family recently joining him.
The Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick says he's delighted that Hernandez is staying for at least another year, describing the midfielder as a key player for the club.
