The Wellington Phoenix coach Ernie Merrick is having ongoing discussions with Costa Rican international Carlos Hernandez about the behaviour expected from his players.
Hernandez was upset with his second-half substitution during the Phoenix's 1-1 draw with Perth at the weekend.
The midfielder, who's been plagued by a niggling calf injury, failed to acknowledge the rest of the team when he was taken off and didn't shake hands with the man who replaced him.
Merrick says that sort of behaviour isn't acceptable.
