Blackadder frustrated by reset scrums

The Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder is certainly sounding frustrated by the time being lost in Super Rugby matches because of reset scrums.

Taking the hit out of scrums frustrated many and since then the delay in feeding the ball, while the referee waits for the scrum to settle has led to a staggering number of collapses, resets and penalties.

He says expecting 16 men to stay stable for up to four seconds to allow the halfback to get the ball in is asking too much.

Blackadder believes the halfback should be allowed to put the ball in as soon as the two packs hit.
