Little more than a week after making his rugby league Test debut for New Zealand, Penrith's Isaac John has had his season cut short by injury.
John, who played at five-eighth in the Kiwis' loss to Australia earlier this month, ruptured his achilles in the Panthers' New South Wales Cup win over Newcastle on Saturday.
John has played three first-grade matches for Penrith this season.
