The New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic is through to the second round of singles at the French Open, breezing through her opening match against Ukranian Nadiya Kichenok in straight sets 6-2 6-1.
Erakovic should face a much tougher task in the second round with her opponent likely to be the fifth seeded Czech Petra Kvitova.
The eight times men's champion in Paris, Rafael Nadal, dropped just three games in his opening match win against the unseeded American Robby Ginepri.
