The Taniwha ran in six tries to four and led 20-15 at half-time, and have all but clinched a semi-final place, and a home playoff.
Harbour will now struggle to make the semi-finals, their bonus point puts them level with fourth-placed Southland but behind on points difference and with one game remaining, against Wellington in the capital.
