Burling and Tuke sail into lead

World 49er champions Peter Burling and Blair Tuke have jumped into the outright lead at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyeres Regatta in France.

The pair were tied for the lead after the first day, but scored 2 wins and a second today at take a 21 point lead after 6 races.

Olympic 470 champions Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie have improved from 11th to third - they're tied on points with the top 2 crews from Great Britain and the USA.

Andrew Murdoch had a bad day in the Finn, after leading yesterday, he had a DNF and a 28th today and he's dropped to 13th overall.

Sam Meech has also slipped down the Laser standings from third to 13th, while Andy Maloney is 10th.

Alexandra Maloney and Molly Meech improved their overall position in the women's 49er climbing to 7th overall with a 14th, a 4th and a 9th in today's three races.

Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox are lying 10th in the Men's 470 class.

Racing continues in Hyeres tomorrow with another two days of racing remaining before the top ten medal races scheduled for Sunday.
