Tiger Woods is widely expected to announce the date of his return to professional golf when he reappears in public tomorrow.
Woods' announcement yesterday of a select media conference at the Tournament Players Club in Florida tomorrow makes it increasingly likely that he'll return to the game in time for The Masters in early April.
But the US Golf Channel's New Zealand commentator Frank Nobilo believes Woods will use the media occasion as a trial balloon to gauge public reaction.
Nobilo suspects Woods wouldn't be speaking yet if he wasn't interested in playing soon.
Woods hasn't spoken a word publicly in nearly three months, since the first reports surfaced of his marital infidelity.
