The Ipswich Town soccer player David Norris has been fined 14-thousand dollars for crossing his hands in a bad-taste handcuff gesture to celebrate a goal.

Norris had been charged by the FA with improper conduct for the gesture, intended for his former Plymouth Argyle team mate Luke McCormick, who was jailed for drink driving after causing an accident which killed two young boys and paralysed their father.

McCormick had been driving back from Norris's wedding when the accident happened.

Norris had already been fined by his club.
