New Zealand's Marina Erakovic has been knocked out of the singles and doubles at the WTA pre-Wimbledon grass court tennis tournament in Birmingham.
Erakovic lost to China's Peng Shuai in the singles quarter-finals 6-4 4-6 6-3 while the Aucklander and Romanian partner Sorana Cirstea lost their quarter-final match against Australia's Casey Dellacqua and South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers 6-1 4-6 11-9.
Erakovic's ranking is up to 151, still a way off her career high of 49 back in July 2008, but having been as low as 748 last April, the signs are good that the 23-year-old is heading back to her best form.
The New Zealand number one now focuses on Wimbledon qualifying starting Wednesday.
