Young Maori builders have been showing off their skills to royalty in Christchurch.
Seven He Toki ki te Rika - Maori trades training students and graduates - competed against each other to make planter boxes in front of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Finished products will be donated to the community.
He Toki ki te Rika is led by Ngai Tahu in partnership with the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and Hawkins Construction.
