A year after Young Thug was cancelled as Laneway Festival headliner due to Australian Visa issues, he is set to try to make to NZ again in 2018 - this time for Auckland City Limits alongside fellow Atlanta rapper Future.

The pair, who collaborated on the mixtape Super Slimey in October, will appear at Auckland City Limits festival in March, alongside Beck, Justice, Grace Jones and various others.

For those of us who were four-years-old when Beck released ‘Loser’, the addition of Young Thug and Future to a festival with an otherwise low hip-hop contingent is excellent news - and with local hip-hop artist JessB and Northland metal teens Alien Weaponry also announced, 2018’s Auckland City Limits may be more than a nostalgia fest after all.

With the announcement coinciding conveniently with the final release of early bird tickets, now is as good a time as any to consider what your plans are for March 3rd, 2018.
