Waikato-raised, Portugal-based soprano Madison Nonoa is back home for the first time since the Covid pandemic. She's playing Cupid in Black Grace & NZ Opera's co-production of the dance-opera (m)Orpheus, a reworking of Gluck's Orfeo ed Eurydice.
Madison spoke to Bryan Crump about returning to Aotearoa and how (m)Orpheus is helping her connect with her Samoan side.
