Child trauma the backdrop to the Pacific Islands Forum

As Pacific leaders meet in Nauru, the trauma experienced by refugees detained there has been described in a new report that says children as young as seven have attempted suicide.

Young refugees who have been on the island for five years by Australia, have also spoken out about their hopelessness and despair.
