A member of Papua New Guinea's Pangu Pati says its parliamentary wing will stay together if the MPs leave the party

Local media is reporting Pangu Pati's 14 MPs are resigning from the party due to differences with the executives of the party.

Party executives are understood to have opposed Communications and Energy Minister Sam Basil remaining as Pangu leader.

The Tewae-Siassi Open MP, Kobby Bomareo, told Johnny Blades the party's MPs are currently all still with Pangu, despite rumours they resigned.
