The Samoan language or Gagana (Nga-nga) Samoa is the third most spoken language in Aotearoa New Zealand, following English and Te Reo.
It's also the second most spoken in Auckland.
The Minister for Pacific Peoples, Barbara Edmonds, says as a New Zealand-born Samoan, this is a huge week for her.
