Preliminary findings of a new Transparency International survey have found sex-tortion - demanding sexual favours in return for public services -  is a major issue in parts of the Pacific.

Papua New Guinea, the Federated States of Micronesia and Solomon Islands have higher rates of sexual extortion, according to the research.

RNZ Pacific's Lydia Lewis spoke with Transparency International's Pacific Advisor Mariam Mathew to learn more about what the findings mean for women across the Pacific.
