Papua New Guinea's Commissioner of Police, David Manning, has ordered the PNG central bank to sort out foreign currency issues for key fuel importer, Puma Energy.
This comes after a series of fuel supply shortages over the past six months which Puma blames on not being able to access enough foreign exchange.
Mr Manning issued the directive in his role as the National Pandemic Controller.
Don Wiseman discussed the matter with RNZ Pacific's PNG correspondent, Scott Waide.
