2:10 The Rapper - Baba Brinkman - may be the world's only peer reviewed rapper. You can bet your bottom dollar his lyrics are nothing like 50 cent's. He raps about Charles Darwin's theory of evolution and Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales. His show was a huge hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and now Baba Brinkman is coming to New Zealand for the Nelson Arts Festival next week.
He doesn't just take the texts from Chaucer and Darwin and put a strong beat behind them... this is not Lit -hop instead of hip hop. Baba Brinkman wants increase understanding and appreciation of difficult ideas.
