Two people have been arrested following two gang-related shootings in Ruatoria and Taradale over the weekend.
Mongrel Mob and Black Power members fought in Taradale on Sunday, and one man was shot. In Ruatoria on Saturday, shots were exchanged between people in cars and a person at a house.
Eastern District Commander, Superintendent Tania Kura, told media that there had been one arrest in each of the shootings and more arrests are likely.
