Covid-19 leak: How Boag received information still unclear

It took four days for disgraced National MP Hamish Walker to come clean about leaking private information, but less than 24 hours for his career to come crashing down around him. The Clutha-Southland MP announced shortly after midday that he won't seek re-election in September - a decision his leader described as his only option. The saga ramped up last night when Mr Walker confessed to the leak, with former National Party president Michelle Boag admitting shortly after that she passed the details of Covid-19 patients onto the backbench MP. And it's still unclear where Ms Boag got the information from in the first place. Our political reporter Jo Moir has this story.
