It has been a long time coming for the people of Mataura, but finally the town will be rid of the thousands of tonnes of toxic waste, illegally moved into their community.
But while the ouvea premix will soon be gone, Environment Minister David Parker says he still has reservations about Rio Tinto and the state of Tiwai Point.
