Auckland reopening - what you need to know

Four more weeks. That's how long Aucklanders have to wait until they're free to leave the city for their summer break.

There's a catch though - all travellers must be fully vaccinated or carry proof of a negative test from the past 72 hours - or risk a $1000 fine. By the time the borders reopen, the whole country will have shifted to a new traffic light system - dictating freedoms based on vaccination certificates.
