Retired Detective Inspector Mark Gutry was a police officer for close to 30 years and investigated the high profile kidnap and murder of Auckland woman Rae Portman.
The body of the pregnant woman as found dumped in an offal pit on a rural property in Ardmore in 2012.
Rae Portman's murderer was sentenced to 21 years jail without parole.
Mark Gutry is now a private investigator and spoke to Lisa Owen.
