NZNO unhappy with review into resthome Covid deaths

The New Zealand Nurses Organisation says members described 'a sense of chaos' in the aged care facilities where there were covid clusters. There were outbreaks in five aged care facilities, with 16 of New Zealand's 22 Covid deaths linked to Rest homes The Ministry of Health review into the outbreak found facilities weren't familiar with the concepts of outbreaks, clusters and probable versus proven cases and ...few fully comprehended the impact a probable case would have on their staffing levels. NZNO Industrial Advisor for Aged Care, Lesley Harry, told First Up's Lydia Batham while they welcome the review, it hasn't fully delved into the issues staff working in the sector faced.
