Wild weather has once again hits the Coromandel

Wild weather has once again hit the Coromandel, as Cyclone Lola combined with King Tides to close several roads and cause surface flooding. Metservice issued an Orange weather warning for the peninsula yesterday through until 9am this morning, with high winds and heavy rainfall. Co-Chair of the Tairua Business Association Peter Hunt was one of those caught out with road closures, and spent the night in Whangamata after being stuck out of town.
