Fixing New Zealand's Child Poverty

A daily free lunch is to be served as a trial in 30 primary and intermediate schools from the first term next year.

The Prime Minister announced the initiative in Rotorua today, at the launch of the Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy. Jacinda Ardern says fixing child poverty will take time, but one thing the Government can do straight away is make sure children get at least one decent meal a day.
