Legal ramifications of life without parole

This afternoon the man who carried out the mosque attacks in Christchurch on 15 March 2019 was been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of ever leaving jail. This is the first time such a sentence has been handed out in New Zealand. To discuss the significance and ramifications of the sentence Karyn is joined by Otago University Professor of Law, Andrew Geddis.
