The Early Childhood Council has written an open letter to the Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, asking that all early childhood centres remain closed until the country moves to Alert Level 2.
There has been widespread concern in the sector since Ms Ardern announced last week that under Alert Level 3, education facilities would be open for children Year 10 and younger -- though the government is encouraging parents to keep their children at home if they can.
