No need to renegotiate Korea FTA, Parker suggests

This week the European Parliament voted to fast-track a free trade deal with New Zealand. The European Union's trade commissioner, Cecilia Malmstrom, says the EU wants to dramatically increase trade with New Zealand and Australia.

Britain is also seeking to sign free trade agreements with New Zealand and Australia, but it can't negotiate trade deals until it formally leaves the Union in 2019. That gives the EU a head start. Eight members of the European Parliament's Trade Committee are in Wellington.

The new Minister for Trade and Export Growth is David Parker, and he joins us to discuss the developments.
